Classic Design

This is the main entrance to Dubuque Wahlert's tennis courts. Showing that we are not just limited to railings.

These railings are also associated with America's River Project. As you drive to the riverfront you will pass these beautifully designed railings.

Here is a unique residential railing application.

Giese takes a classic design and brings it into the 21st century with these railings.

Beautiful - Functional

When you think of manufacturing operations, railings are not usually the first things that come to mind. To be honest, it was not our first thought either. When we expanded our business in 1997 to include manufacturing procedures, we had no intention of producing railings. However, when the city of Dubuque began to remodel its riverfront, better known as America's River Project, they wanted custom railings made. We got thinking to ourselves - we can do that. So we began experimenting and showed the city our design for their railings. They liked them so much that we were awarded the contract and the rest, as they say, is history. The city of Dubuque has been very kind to us. They have given us numerous railings and other custom metals projects. In fact, they have given us so many that it is hard to keep track of them all. Clearly the city must like our quality and delivering/installing them in a timely manner or we would not continue to get repeat work.

Our railings frame the view of the Mississippi River Bridge.

We do all types of railing installations including: residential, commercial, public, religious, and much more. Our railings are built using only the highest quality steel, which allows them to last for many years. You might be thinking, "How can you prevent the railings from rusting?" We can also make them out of aluminum or stainless steel, to prevent any potential rust problem.

Most customers do not enjoy a plain steel color for their railings. We understand that issue as well. Giese, if the customer wants their railings to have color, brings them to a powder coater who paints them with the highest quality in mind. Powder coating is where the paint is applied electrostatically and is then cured under heat to allow it to flow and form a "skin." The main reason we get our railings painted using this procedure is because the paint creates a hard finish, which is tougher than any conventional paint. This paint is much more difficult to chip which in return prevents rusting and still looks fantastic.

These railings were made and installed high atop a bluff in Dubuque overlooking the mighty Mississippi.

If you have a vision that involves railings, Giese Companies can make that vision a reality. We do not shy away from projects others may call "impossible". We embrace the challenges and feel they make us a better company. We look forward to working with you on your next railing project.
